Questions worth asking, word for word
- Here is my symptom diary: these symptoms together, over this timeline. Could this be neurological?
- What would it take to rule out something serious, like a brain tumor?
- Would you refer me for an MRI, or to a neurologist? If not, can you document that decision in my chart?
- If this diagnosis is right, how quickly should the treatment help, and what do we do if my symptoms keep getting worse?
- What specific new symptom should make me come back immediately, or go straight to the ER?
This site shares general awareness information, not medical advice. Most people with these symptoms will not have a brain tumor, and that's the point of asking: one scan gives you a real answer either way. For any medical decision, work with a licensed clinician.
